My phone rang one day last year. It was a number I didn’t recognize. The man on the other end of the line introduced himself as John Global, and he had great news: I had won the lottery. He was unclear when I asked how I had won a contest I didn’t enter but I acted like a gentleman and gave the…

Hurr durr, don’t hate me. I’m sick.
So I got on tumblr and was browsing, and I was wondering when I started following some of these strangers, and why everyone was hating on kawaii desu special snoflake gammer girls.
As it turns out, I was on palovrell’s tumblr, so… sorry if I followed someone on your name.
I also realized that I’m what those people hate. FFS, my name is nerdy slut. And I do love video games… But ironically, I’m not very slutty.
MY LIFE IS A CONFUSING MESS.

The down low on FAT.
Fat is ESSENTIAL to our diet as it gives us Vitamins (A, D, E, K) and contains fatty acids that our body does not produce. 30% of our diet should be fat, however there are 4 kinds of fat.
The Good:
Polyunsaturated Fat: tends to lower blood cholesterol levels
Sources: found mostly in plant sources. (safflower, sunflower, soybean, corn, cottonseed)
Monounsaturated Fat: tends to lower LDL cholesterol (the “bad” cholesterol)
Sources: found in both plant and animal products, such as olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, and in some plant foods such as avocado
The bad:
Saturated Fat: tends to increase blood cholesterol levels.
Sources: found mostly in meat and dairy products, as well as some vegetable oils, such as coconut and palm oils (tropical oils). Butter is high in saturated fat, while margarine tends to have more unsaturated fat. Most saturated fats tend to be solid at room temperature (like butter), with the exception of tropical oils.
Trans Fat: Trans fats not only raise total cholesterol levels, they also deplete good cholesterol (HDL), which helps protect against heart disease
Sources: They are man-made or processed fats, which are made from a liquid oil. When you add hydrogen to liquid vegetable oil and then add pressure, the result is a stiffer fat, like the fat found in a can of Crisco. Trans fats are also called hydrogenated fats. Check your food labels for it.
It is also important to check and know how much fat your food has in it.- Did you know 1 cup of nuts has more fat than 1 big mac?!
HOWEVER, nuts contain a good fat, while big macs don’t.
This means I can eat as much as I want of anything with good fat right? While it’s better than eating things with bad fat, but you need to take into consideration that it still only is 30% of our diet, so eating TOO much fat, good or bad, will still cause you to pile on the pounds.
The daily recommended intake is 10% saturated fat, and 20% non saturated fat. We have no need for trans fat at all!
EVERYTHING YOU SAID IN THIS POST IS WRONG. The only thing you said that was even remotely correct was about trans fats being bad fats.
65% of my diet is fat, with the majority (probably 60-80% of the fat) being saturated fat. I’m down to 175 from 196 and I haven’t exercised at all. I feel fucking awesome and am noticeably smaller.
Fat doesn’t make you fat. Carbohydrates spike your blood sugar and cause insulin to come do it’s job—get rid of all the excess sugar by converting everything into fat and storing it.
A person with normal blood sugar has about ~1tsp of sugar. With the amount of carbohydrates the FDA recommends (300g, holy shit!) that’s equivalent to a cup and a half.
If you want your body to start burning fat, fuck the FDA. Eat about 100g or less of carbohydrates a day (Fuck, I eat a maximum of 20g a day! [minus the fiber—fiber isn’t used the same way as other carbohydrates]). Once your body is done burning through carbohydrates, it will store the rest. But if you burn through carbohydrates and still need energy, your body will pull from your fat stores. The less carbs you eat, the faster your body will pull from your excess fat.
If you want a healthier diet, eat 10-20% carbohydrates, 30-40% protein, and 50-60% fats. Try to avoid trans fats as best you can.
If you want to lose as much fat as healthily possible as quickly as possible, eat 5% carbs, 30% protein, and 65% fat.

176, bitches!
That’s right. 176 lbs and I still haven’t gone shopping. So I’ve been eating carby stuff and am definitely not in ketosis, but I also haven’t been eating enough. :l Blah!
I need to clean my house… later.
I did the Sweat 1-2 workout for P90 and I didn’t even finish. I barely got through Power Yoga, and yesterday I was so, so sore. TT__TT; I’ll do sculpt today — I know I can finish that. And I’ll count it as Day 1.

Good day~
I made a MyFitnessPal. Or at least, I tried but my username was taken… and it turns out I already had one. Go me.
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/KatTierney
Add mine and I’ll add yours. :)
Also, I downloaded P90 at my sister’s, and I’m uploading it so I can do it at home whenever I please. Woo, go me~
OMFGIJUSTREALIZED also that my food stamps have reset and I can finally go shopping. *u* Yesssssss! This month I’ll have to be more frugal and I can’t be buying extra snacks and stuff, but oh well. I don’t really need it that much anyway. Mmm yay, I can’t wait to have all the food every food.
Girlfriend is sick-ish, but we’re gonna try and play D&D tonight. Just for an hour or two at most, she’s been *really* nauseous the past week and I’ve just started getting kinda icky as well, but I can still chillax with my bros. I’ve got their adventure down, but I’m having trouble connecting the main over-arching plot. D: We’ll see what I can come up with… Hopefully their characters will make it pretty obvious. n_n
Tonight I’ll (re)start P90. I have a before picture, and I’m not sure if I should take one a day, or one every 15, or one every 30, or one more at 45 and then one more at the end. What do you think would be best?

Blah!
One more day… Just one more day until I can go grocery shopping for healthy food. I can’t wait.
Also, despite period-ing, I’m back down to 178. Go me.
